Amsterdam

 Today I would love to show you my "Amsterdam" quilt.

Pink and green quilts have a long tradition. This quilt, however, is not old-fashioned at all.

The bright, modern fabrics make for a fresh, cheerful look.

 The tulips remind me of Holland and our trip to Amsterdam last year, hence the name.

 I just love the combination of strong pinks and chartreuse greens!

 The setting triangles are a nice place for some hand quilting.

And the outer border with the flower pots is just perfect for this quilt!

 "Amsterdam" measures 80" x 80".

 Heute möchte ich Euch gerne "Amsterdam" vorstellen.

Quilts in grün und rosa haben eine lange Tradition. Trotzdem wirkt dieser Quilt kein Bisschen altmodisch. Die modernen Stoffe mit ihren kräftigen Farben geben ihm eine frische, fröhliche Atmosphäre.

Die Tulpen erinnern mich an Holland und an unseren Besuch in Amsterdam im letzten Jahr, daher der Name.

Pink und grün zusammen finde ich einfach toll!

Die Seiten- und Eckdreiecke bieten einen guten Platz zum Handquilten,

und die äußere Borte mit dem Blumentöpfen ist einfach perfekt für diesen Quilt!

"Amsterdam" ist ca. 2 x 2 m groß.
